Thomas Hvid Kromann

Born 1974. Writer (of fiction) and PhD. Post-doctoral research at the University of Copenhagen, 2010-12, working on the project “Danish Artists' Books. A transnational and intermedial practice". Researcher at The Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books, The Royal Library, Copenhagen (since December 2014).

Research topics include artists' books, book objects and avant-garde art (especially the avant-garde of the Sixties), archive studies.

Has co-edited a selection of the Danish author and critic Hans-Jørgen Nielsen's articles about art and culture, Nye sprog, nye verdener. Hans-Jørgen Nielsens artikler om kunst og kultur (together with Ørum and Thing), Arena-information. Et kapitel i dansk forlags- og litteraturhistorie (together with Anders Juhl Rasmussen, 2011), as well as Danish Artists' Books (together with Themsen, Sidenius and Vierø, 2013),

Has published six books of fiction, including the novels Hr. Toksvig (Mister Toksvig, 2006) and Saksehånd (Scissorhand, 2011).

Curator of “Art+Text” (Overgaden, Copenhagen, 2011), “Danish Artists’ Books – The Exhibition” (Overgaden, Copenhagen, 2013) and "Opslag Nedslag. Danish Artists' Books" (The Danish Royal Library, 2016-2017).
